Tip Tuesday - First Day of School Teacher Gifts

It's hard to believe that Summer is already over for some. We still have a few weeks left until our First Day of School is upon us, but we are already thinking about it! It's always fun to start the year off on a happy foot. We've put together a pinboard of fun Back To School printables and ideas - a few of which we've highlighted here. Easy First Day of School gifts for Teachers! We especially love the "Getting To Know You" questionnaire. A great way to get to know your teachers favorite things - making gift giving easy the rest of the school year!

Have A BRIGHT Year from The TomKat Studio :: just grap a pack of multicolored highlighters or sharpie markers and tie with a bow!
Getting To Know You Teacher Questionnaire from eighteen25 :: this way your future gifts will be sure to ones your teacher will like and use!
One Smart Cookie from It's Overflowing :: fill a mason jar with homemade cookies and tie on this tag. Easily dress up the top of the jar with a flattened cupcake liner!
Berry Special Teacher from Skip To My Lou :: these berry baskets are filled with paper strawberries, but you could do real berries or berry shaped sugar cookies instead!
Hi-Lite of my Day from One Charming Party :: easy, practical and cute!
Totally Bananas About Being in Your Class from The Twinery :: bake up a batch of banana bread or muffins and tie on this cute tag!
You're the WRITE teacher for me from Katrina's Paperie :: dress up some No2 pencils with some washi tape and tie with a bow!

How ever you choose to greet your Teacher on the First Day of School, make sure to let them know how excited you are for a new year in their classroom! You can find more great First Day ideas, treats and printables on our Back To School Pinboard.

Follow Friday - Yoobi

We here at Sydney Paige are always excited and encouraged when we come across another company that shares our passions - education, children, school supplies, and GIVING BACK! For today's Follow Friday post, we'd like to introduce you to Yoobi - a company who encompasses all those things!

Yoobi is a new colorful and vibrant school supply brand that makes learning fun while also giving back. Yoobi means "one for you, one for me" - for every Yoobi item you buy, a Yoobi item is donated to a classroom in need right here in the United States. It's that simple. And that AWESOME! Read more of Yoobi's mission and story on their blog.

You can find Yoobi supplies ONLINE or at most Target stores. They have everything from notebooks and journals, to desk accessories, to pens, pencils and crayons! We recently purchased the mini highlighter pack and my girls are obsessed. The packaging is hard to resist and the colorful, creative possibilities are endless. Here's Megan writing Thank You notes for her birthday presents.

Think About It Thursday - Lunchbox Love

I don't know about you, but packing school lunches is one of my LEAST favorite things about motherhood. It gets so monotonous. And when you have a picky eater on your hands (aka :: a stubborn, 1st grade, boy who hasn't eaten a sandwich EVER in his life!) it gets tricky too...So I decided to start Thinking About creative lunch recipes before school starts. I'm hoping some of these recipes will meet all our family's needs - fun for me to prep and pack and actually CONSUMED at school, rather than returned home smooshed in a ziploc!!

What kid doesn't love chocolate chips? I love controlling what else in there too!
A perfect alternative for my non-sandwich eating kid!
My girls complain that PB&J sandwiches get sqooshed...I'm thinking these bars will hold up better, but still be one of their favorite flavors!
Again, my picky eater loves Mac N Cheese...
Anything on a skewer just tastes better, right?
Pizza for lunch at school? That I can make ahead? Yes, please!

Hope these recipes help you get out of your lunchbox rut too! Can't believe it's almost that time of year, again. You can find many more recipes and lunchbox inspiration on our

For everyone sold, one is given to a child in need!

Happy Packing!
